The six whiskys we tried tonight from the Sir Walter Scott distillery, Glenmorangie:
10-year old
18-year old
Lasanta (sherry cask)
Nector D'or (sauterne cask)
Quinta Rubin (port wood)
Tusail

They were all good but the last one was surprising. It is made with a different barley and smelled rather medicinal but didn't taste medicinal. It was more subtle than the others with a different base taste with some fruity notes. The barley made a difference in the taste, I think.

The evening was great fun.
